A HUGE THANK YOU TO all our friends at MUGS, The Rhubarb Thieves, our supporters, volunteers, all the local businesses who supported this fabulous Event!  At Sunbeams, we are so grateful for all your generosity, time and efforts into making this such an enjoyable and successful do!

All at Sunbeams are deeply touched by the support of MUGS and the Rhubarb Thieves for choosing our local Charity as one of their beneficiaries for this amazing fundraising evening on board ‘The Raven’.  A special thank you to Mark Stephenson, who has been the ‘main man’ regarding the organisation and bringing it all together. The support of Mark and MUGS over numerous years has helped raise enormous funds to enable our Musicians to deliver important ‘Community Music Therapy’ to our wonderful beneficiaries within Cumbria.

Representatives of Sunbeams attended the cruise and said, ‘The music throughout the evening was unbelievable and had everyone foot tapping the night away, this accompanied by the beautiful weather,  the wonderful hospitality of Ullswater Steamers and the amazing raffle prizes attributed to the most unforgettable event’.  This dedication, kindness and support by the organisers, the musicians, the community who donated so generously and the guests on board makes a huge difference and we truly appreciate the time and energy invested by everyone concerned who organised this event. We simply couldn’t achieve what we do without the kindness of our  supporters, the funds raised will help make a tremendous difference to the lives of future disabled and disadvantaged children, adults and their families who receive improved health and wellbeing from our Music for Life® and Music for Dignity® Sessions.

Here’s a word from chief MUG, Mark Stephenson: “In a world in which hyperbole has become as rampant as Japanese knotweed and even the most mundane occurrences are deemed to be ‘amazing!!!!!’ I am wary about how to describe the ‘STEAMING MUGs’ cruise on June 13th. However, I think it’s safe to say that it was pretty bloomin’ good! I’m getting in touch to say a big ‘thank you’ for coming along and for contributing to the £3,236.00 that was raised and which will be shared between Every Life Matters and Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Trust. Both charities are delighted and have asked me to pass on their enormous gratitude to you all. MUGs would like to say a big thankyou to Brigid Garvey and Brian Woodall of The Rhubarb Thieves for yet again giving of their time and talents to raise funds for Sunbeams and ELM.

MUGs also pass on their thanks to Ullswater Steamers for affording us the opportunity to host this event, and also to those generous businesses who donated such wonderful raffle prizes, and they deserve another mention I think! They are:
