Project Co-ordinator for Reaching Adolescents with Complex Medical Needs Project

Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund

37.5 hours per week (Full Time, 3 year fixed term)

Competitive salary with pension (pro rata)

Key Responsibilities/Skills include:

  • The post holder will be responsible for developing and coordinating the delivery of the Project in 4 Venues across Cumbria in accordance with the specified Project Aims and Outcomes
  • Minimum of 3 years practical musical experience working with disabled, disadvantaged people and their families
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people with complex medical needs
  • Experience of working with 11-19 year olds is preferable
  • Post-Graduate level of musicianship in Community Music or equivalent
  • Knowledge of British Sign Language and/or Makaton desirable
  • Competence in IT including: Microsoft Office Programmes
  • Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation Procedures
  • Responsibility for effective recruitment and support of Volunteers
  • Ability to provide ongoing support to beneficiaries and respond to varying needs of groups with a sensitive, passionate and empathic approach

Enthusiasm, a flexible approach, valid driving licence and the ability to work as part of a Team are essential.
